Bio: My start in aviation began at A&P school. I worked two part time jobs during school, one as an administrative assistant for aircraft records and another as a line crew technician fueling planes. I currently work full time as an aircraft mechanic for Tradewind Aviation, so I specialize in Pilatus PC-12 turboprops. I have been in this industry for 6 years and discovered that my passion lies in maintaining and operating warbirds. I volunteer and often work with the Tunison Foundation on the WWII C-47 Placid Lassie. I am excited to be a part of AWAM’s board of directors and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences to inspire young women about a career in aviation!!!

Toughest obstacle: It has always been hard for me to let go of things that were outside of my control. I have a bad habit of taking my work worries home with me. Trying to compartmentalize work and personal life has been a struggle of mine because aviation is also such a huge part of my life outside of work.

Words of wisdom: Create good boundaries with your employer, don’t burn yourself out by trying to show everyone you can “do what the guys are doing” because you already can and you were hired for a reason! Self care is number one so your mind stays sharp and the work you produce is safe!
