February is the projected opening for the new building, which will house the AWAM WHQ and the Daytona Beach Chapter. It will have a specialty coffee shop in the front with free wireless Internet access, comfy couch and chairs, a meeting room with full office facilities in the back and a nice purple AWAM logo on the big sign outside. Hold ups in the renovation project caused by typical bureaucratic red tape has kept the chapter from being able to follow through with any real activities, but hopefully that will all soon be behind us. It should be a great place to work and hang out. We expect a lot of good hangar talk, not only from the AWAMers, but also due to the close proximity to Embry Riddle. We have already had quite a few drop bys from Riddle students wanting to know when we will be open.
